About Me

My impression of research seems a lot less daunting and exclusive now, I feel as though with enough effort and patience I am capable of conducting research.

Research Experience

I thought it was difficult having to learn these new topics I had never herd of before, but I felt like I was learning a lot despite the initial hardship. I got more comfortable in writing and learning, most likely because I knew the topic better, but also because I realized making mistakes and being confused was normal and that I just had to work through it.

Mentorship Experience

Working with my mentor was a great experience. She answered all my questions and was incredibly patient with me when I was confused. My mentor also guided me very well and gave my research a clear sense of direction.

Favorite Part of Talaria

Doing the readings and learning more.

Someone hardworking, dedicated, and with enough free time in their schedule to devote to working on their paper.

Advice for Future Applicants

Definitely apply. The work is difficult and daunting at first and you may have to learn new information and process it just as fast, but in the end the amount you learn both in research skills as well as professional adeptness is invaluable.
